Nicky Romero
Nicky Romero ( born January 6, 1989 in Amerongen; actually Nick Rotteveel ) is a Dutch DJ and music producer in the areas of House, Electro and Progressive.
Biography
Gained fame Nicky Romero among others by his bootleg remix of David Guetta's When Love Takes Over. The breakthrough then succeeded with his production My Friend, published at Spinnin ' Records. The song came at the Beatport download charts at # 4 and received support from many famous DJs such as Tiësto, Axwell, Fedde le Grand and Sander van Doorn.
Most recently, he was very successful collaborations with Basto! ( When Love Calls), Hardwell (Beta ), David Guetta (Wild One Two and Metropolis ) and Avicii ( Nicktim ). With Wild One Two, a remix of the hit ( Wild Ones ) by Flo Rida & Sia, he first made the jump into the German and Austrian charts.
End of April 2012 gave Nicky Romero on his official Twitter page the launch of his own record label " Protocol Recordings" known. In addition, he had announced to launch his own radio show called " Protocol Radio Show." The first release of the label is the track "WTF? ", Which he had produced together with the Dutch DJ ZROQ. The track was played in his set at Ultra Music Festival 2012 by Nicky Romero first time and came to international prominence at the latest, after David Guetta has played the song in his set on the Main Stage.
Together with Avicii and Noonie Bao he succeeded in mid February 2013 with the single I Could Be the One the leap to number 1 in the UK and later the Polish Singles Chart.
In October 2013 Nicky Romero reached the worldwide Dj Mag Top 100 voting, in the category " Top 100 DJs ", the site number 7
