Nová Ves (Strakonice District)

Nová Ves ( German Neudorf ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 15 kilometers southwest of Strakonice in South Bohemia and belongs to Okres Strakonice. With the Altán (845 m) is located in the municipality, the highest elevation of the Okres Strakonice.

Geography

Nová Ves is located on the right side above the valley of the brook Novosedelský creek on a slope in the foothills of the Bohemian Forest. To the north rise the Bloudím ( 685 m), the Pohorky (605 m) and the Hurka (626 m), in the south of Novoveský vrch ( 765 m), southwest of the Buková skala ( 766 m), the Kůstrý ( 837 m) and the Altán (845 m) and in the northwest of the Na Pláni ( 737 m).

Neighboring towns are Prachař, Strašice, Skudra and Předměstí in the north, Smítka, Zvotoky and Hodějov in the northeast, Hoslovice, Podhoslovičký and Střídka in the east, Pohodnice, Radešov, Hořejšice and Dřešín the southeast, Novoveské Samoty, Kváskovice and U Záblatských in the south, Víska in west and Na Bláních, Soběšice, Panské Mlýny and U Rejšků in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was 1549. After the Battle of White Mountain, the goods of Theobald Schwihowsky of Riesenberg were confiscated for his part in uprising and sells the reign of Henry of Schichowitz Kolowrat Liebsteinsky. Subsequent owners were from 1634 Franz Ulrich von Kolowrat Liebsteinsky, from 1675 Wilhelm Albrecht von Kolowrat Krakowsky and 1692 Johann Franz von Kolowrat Krakowsky. The latter sold the rule in 1707 to the Prince-Bishop of Passau Johann Philipp von Lamberg imperial prince, who was able to gain additional goods and united them with Schichowitz. In 1716 he raised the combined goods a Fideikommiss. Him heir Anton Imperial Prince of Lamberg, this was followed in 1760 by his son Johann Friedrich Imperial Prince of Lamberg, who died in 1797 without issue. Through the extinction of rich royal line whose dignity, manors and offices in 1804 fell to Johann Friedrichs nephew Karl Eugen († 1831) from the jünderen line of Lamberger, who was raised so that the princes of Lamberg, Freiherr von Ortenegg and Ottenstein on Stöckern and Amerang. His eldest son, Gustav Joachim Prince of Lamberg went to the Heritage 1834. In 1840 Neudorf / Nowawes consisted of 41 houses with 312 inhabitants; one of the houses belonged to the estate Niemtschitz. In Neudorf was an inn. Vicarage was Dobrsch. Until the mid- 19th century, the village always the Fideikommißherrschaft Schichowitz together with the goods Raby, Budietitz, Žihobetz and Stradal remained submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Nová Ves / Neudorf was formed in 1850 with the district Wýska / Wyska a municipality in the district team Strakonice and the jurisdiction Volyně. Víska dissolved going on in the 1920s by Nová Ves and formed its own community. On 1 February 1949, the municipality Nová Ves was in the course of amplification of the districts assigned to the Okres Vimperk in the border area. After the abolition of Okres Vimperk the community was on July 1, 1960 again part of the Okres Strakonice. On 1 January 1974, the annexation took place after Hoslovice. After a referendum, Lhota pod Kůstrým, Nová Ves and Víska triggered at the beginning of 1992 again from Hoslovice off and formed the village Nová Ves.
