The village probably originated as a settlement of Goldseifnern. The first written mention of Novosedly took place in 1204 in a deed Otakar I Přemysls to the monastery of St. George at Prague Castle, in which the king left the Benedictine income from several villages. The donation was confirmed papal in 1223. Later, the Order of Malta acquired the village and joined it to his rule Strakonitz.

In 1840 Newosed consisted of 48 houses with 307 inhabitants. In the village there was a mill. Vicarage was Wolenitz. Until the mid- 19th century, the village remained subservient always Strakonitz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Nevosedy / Newosed formed in 1850 with the districts Sloučín / Slautschin and Kozlov / Kotzlau a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district of the Strakonice. 1885 a private school was inaugurated in Nevosedy. At the beginning of the 20th century, both districts broke off and formed the community Koclov / Kotzlau. Since 1924 the church has the name Novosedly. 1948 Koclov was incorporated ( with Sloučín ) again. The school was closed in 1975 and enrolled the children after Volenice.
