Nußdorf am Haunsberg is a municipality in the district of Salzburg-Umgebung the province of Salzburg in Austria with 2276 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013).

Geography

The municipality is located in the northern Flachgau on the north west side of 835 m above sea level. A. high Haunsbergs in Oichtental, about 20 km north of the city of Salzburg and is part of the judicial district of Oberdorf. It includes the three cadastral

  • Nußdorf
  • Pinswag
  • Weitwörth

And is divided into a total of 23 villages (population as of 2011):

Celtic iron Depot

In Hainbach in Oichtental a late Celtic iron deposit was exposed in 1894 when clearing work. Meantime, the discovery in the late La Tène period is classified at the beginning of the Roman era. The objects are three damaged during dig Sense leaves, a scythe ring, a plow blade and a plow and a large ax. These objects are now in the Salzburg Museum in the city of Salzburg.

Natural Monuments

Several natural monuments exist along a geology trail on the northwest side of the Haunsbergs. The Kroisbachgraben is a momentous for Europe fossil site from the Paleocene ( period prior to 65-55 million years ago). On the back of Haunsbergs is the Kaiserbuche, a symbol -prone tree which was regarded as a landmark of the Flachgau. He came in 2008 to case and was re- planted the following year.

The social structure is dominated rural. Judging by the number of inhabitants was recorded in the community an active club life. There are over 30 different professional, social, sports and leisure clubs.

Personalities

  • Paula Fichtl (1902-1989), long -time housekeeper of Sigmund Freud, was in Nußdorf in grocer upper tab " gofer ".
  • Sanel Kuljić ( * 1977 ), Austrian football player, lived several years in Nußdorf when he was still working at the SV Josko Ried.
