Omegna

Omegna is a municipality with 15,636 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Verbano -Cusio -Ossola (VB ), Region Piedmont. The city is located at the northern end of Lake Orta, where the creek Nigoglia which opens later in the Strona, which in turn is the Toce and later Lake Maggiore fed, leaves the lake.

The municipality consists of the villages Bagnella, Borca, Crusinallo, Cireggio, Santa Rita, and Agrano Gattugno. The neighboring municipalities are Armeno (NO ) Casale Corte Cerro, Germagno, Gignese, Grave Toce, Nonio, Pettenasco, Quarna Sopra Sotto Quarna and Stresa.

Economy

The small industrial city is home to many metal processing and refinement factories as well as the most well-known household products Manufacturer: Alessi, Bialetti, Piazza and Lagostina have factories here and partly Factory Outlets. The traditional company Bialetti now produces not more at the site.

Geography

The village lies at an altitude of 295 m above sea level.
