Operation Upshot-Knothole

Operation Upshot - Knothole was the ninth American nuclear test series. She found in 1953 on the Nevada Test Site instead. A total of eleven bombs were tested, of which seven were detonated on towers, three dropped from aircraft and in a test a nuclear artillery shell ( W9 ) was tested.

During the test, the effect of a nuclear explosion on civilian buildings and vehicles has been tested as part of Operation Doorstep.
