Pallagorio

Pallagorio ( in dialect Arbëresh: Puhëriu ) is a Southern Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Crotone in Calabria with 1295 inhabitants ( as at 31 December 2012). The community is located about 40 kilometers northwest of Crotone and directly borders the province of Cosenza.

History

It is possible that at Pallagorio originally the settlement of Chone Konier. The settlement was early part of Magna Graecia. The Albanian language established by the mercenaries, who settled here in the 15th century.
