Casabona
Casabona is an Italian town in the province of Crotone in Calabria with 2802 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Casabona located 31 km north- west of Crotone on foothills of the Sila Mountains. The neighboring communities are Belvedere di Spinello, Castelsilano, Melissa, Pallagorio, Rocca di Neto, San Nicola dell'Alto, Strongoli and Verzino.
The place is dominated by agriculture. It produces oil, wine, cereals, citruses.
History
The Year of the place is unknown. In the Middle Ages, feudal lords reigned in Casabona.
Attractions
In the parish church paintings are exhibited from the 18th century. Near the village there is a cave.
