Peppino di Capri
Peppino di Capri ( born July 27, 1939 in Naples as Giuseppe Faiella ) is an Italian singer.
Life
After numerous appearances in his home region with his band The Rockers appeared in 1958, the first single with this group. It was followed by many others, including many Italian versions of American hits of rock ' n ' roll. In 1965 they were the opening act for The Beatles in Italy.
In the Federal Republic of Germany Peppino di Capri was mainly in the early 1960s to celebrate successes. His hits St. Tropez Twist, Slop in Capri and melancholy were then released from the plate mark Italia.
As of 1967, di Capri some 15 times at the San Remo Festival, a record. 1973 and 1976 he won there. For Italy, he took part in Rome on Euro Vision Song Contest 1991. With the waltz Comme è ddoce 'o mare he reached the seventh place.
