Pino Cerami

Giuseppe " Pino" Cerami ( born April 28, 1922 in Mister Bianco, Italy ) is a former Belgian cyclist.

Pino Cerami was born in Sicily but increased in 1956, the Belgian citizenship. From 1947 to 1964 he was active as a professional racing driver. During this time he won numerous smaller races, criteria and stages of round trips; He won a total of 56 victories.

His greatest successes were first places in Paris -Roubaix and Fleche Wallonne 1960. During the same year he was third in the World Championship road at the Sachsenring. At the Tour de France 1963 Cerami won the ninth stage at the age of 41 years and is the oldest driver to whom they succeeded so far.

Since 1964, the GP Pino Cerami -day race is held annually aligned in Belgium. Pino Cerami has a nephew of the same name (* 1963), who as a professional raced from 1987 to 1989.
