Henri Cornet

Henri Jardy called Cornet (* August 4, 1884 in Desvres, † March 18, 1941 in Prunay- le- Gillon ) was a French cyclist.

Legendary Henri Cornet was his victory in the Tour de France 1904. However, he achieved this victory only at the green table, as you could the first four in the overall standings to prove fraud. They had taken shortcuts or traveled the distance by rail. Were disqualified Maurice Garin ( winner of the Tour 1903), Lucien Pothier, César Garin and Hippolyte Aucouturier.

Cornet is still the youngest Tour winner ever. He was at this time almost 20 years old. Despite the tour victory and victory in 1906 at the classic Paris -Roubaix Cornet did not count to the elite of the then cycling.
