Pozzoleone

Pozzoleone is a Northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2805 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Vicenza in the Veneto region. The community is located approximately 15.5 kilometers northeast of Vicenza and directly borders the province of Padua. The Brenta forms the eastern boundary of the municipality.

History

Until 1867 it was known as just Pozzo from the Latin Putheum.

Community partnerships

Pozzoleone has partnerships with the small Irish town of Ennistymon in County Clare, as well as with the Greek village in the municipality of Tanagra Schimatari.
