Pozzomaggiore

Pozzomaggiore is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2703 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Sassari in Sardinia. The municipality is situated approximately 37 km south-southeast of Sassari and directly borders the provinces of Nuoro and Oristano.

History

Numerous remains of Nuraghen can still be found in the municipality. Also a bridge ( Ponte Oinu ) from Roman times is still preserved.

Traffic

Through the village, Main Road 292 North Occidentale Sarda leads from Alghero to Massama.
