Geography

Dominated by the castle of the Aragonese town is located on a short, rocky cape and has preserved its character thanks to the well-preserved ramparts and the small staircase streets. The heavily renovated cathedral still has parts of their Originalbaues from the 16th century and has significant wooden altars and picture boards, some of which are associated with the not yet precisely determinable Master of Castelsardo. Not far away is the Romanesque church of Pisan - Provencal style Nostra Signora de Castelsardo ( 12th century ), whose facade is made of small arches and decorated with Einlegarbeiten white columns, and riddled Domus de Janas, so called because of its shape Elephant Rock.
