Torralba, Sardinia

Torralba ( Sardinian: Turràlva ) is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 987 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the province of Sassari in Sardinia. The community is located about 30.5 kilometers southeast of Sassari.

History

One of the most important Nuraghe, the Santu Ballantine, is found in the municipality. The church today can be traced back to its first mention in 1064 /65.

Traffic

Passing through the municipality, the Strada Statale 131 Carlo Felice from Cagliari to Porto Torres. The station of the municipality lies on the railway line Cagliari - Golfo Aranci Marittima.
