Stintino

Stintino is a municipality in the province of Sassari in the Italian island of Sardinia with 1521 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It is located about 200 km northwest of Cagliari and about 35 km northwest of Sassari.

The neighboring community is Sassari.

The community was founded in 1885 by 45 families of fishermen from the northern island of Asinara and received on 10 August 1988, the independence of the city of Sassari.
