The Autoroute 40 in the eastern Canadian province of Quebec belongs partly to the Trans-Canada Highway system. It is the continuation of Ontario Highway 417 and has a length of 341 km.

Route description

The Route begins at the border of the neighboring province of Western Ontario and sets the local Highway 417 continues, she is now part of the Trans-Canada Highway. Like all Autoroutes in Quebec and this is expanded highway-like. The auto route runs south of the Ottawa River to Vaudreuil - Dorion.
