Radějovice (Strakonice District)

Radějovice ( German Radejowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. Lies 14 kilometers northwest of Vodňany in South Bohemia and belongs to Okres Strakonice.

Geography

Radějovice is located on a plateau in the foothills of the Bohemian Forest in the trough of the stream Radějovický creek. North-east rise the Radovec ( 635 m) and the Knížecí kámen (622 m), the South East KYSE (564 m ) and southwest of the Kváskovická hůrka ( 571 m).

History

The first written mention of Radějovice took place in 1334. After a referendum Radějovice broke loose on 24 November 1990 by Bílsko and formed a separate congregation for the first time in its history.
