Radošovice (Strakonice District)

Radošovice until 1924 Radšovice, ( German Ratschowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers south of Strakonice in South Bohemia and belongs to Okres Strakonice.

Geography

Radošovice is located on the right bank of the Volyňka. To the northeast, the Velka Kakada rises (564 m), in the south the Pahorky (482 m) and Vlčíny (524 m), the southwest Hradiště (604 m) and the KBIL (664 m), in the west the Kamenná bába ( 557 m) and northwest of the V Holi (435 m). On the eastern outskirts of the village the railway line Strakonice Volary runs behind it travels around the state road I / 4 between Strakonice and Volyně the place a wide berth.

Neighboring towns are Mutěnice and Strakonice in the north, Přední Ptákovice, Podsrp and Modlesovice in the northeast, Nebřehovice, Zadnà Ptákovice and Kapsova Lhota in the east, Miloňovice, Nová Ves and Svaryšov the southeast, Hoštice and Přední Zborovice in the south, Libětice and Švejcarova Lhota in the southwest, Sousedovice, Lhota u Svaté Anny, Drachkov and V Holi in the west and Pracejovice in the northwest.

History

It is believed that the village was built between the 10th and 12th century by Slavic settlers. Date to this period also late castle wall time pottery that was found in the garden of the farm No. 9 in the center. Surrounded by the remains of a rampart walled farmhouse with late Gothic memory and raised garden with an elliptical ground plan was the site of an extinct festivals.

The first written mention of Radoschewitze took place in 1243 as Bavors I of Strakonitz and his wife Dobislawa the village together with other goods which by them in the Church of Sts. Prokop gave in Strakonitz established formal convent of the Order of Malta. 1251 donation was confirmed.

In 1840 there was the location of the Passauerstraße village Ratschowitz / Račowice from 39 houses with 266 inhabitants. In the village there were four rustic mills. Vicarage was Strakonitz. Until the mid- 19th century, the village remained subservient always Strakonitz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Radšovice / Ratschowitz formed in 1850 with the districts Mutěnice and Přední Zborovice a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district of the Strakonice. In the year 1887, Mutěnice and Přední Zborovice broke loose from Radšovice and formed their own communities. The name was changed in 1924 Radošovice. In 1964 the incorporation of Kapsova Lhota. With the beginning of 1974 was Svaryšov ( with Jedraž and Milíkovice ) incorporated and umgemeindet Přední Zborovice of Strunkovice nad Volyňkou. After a referendum Přední Zborovice became independent again on 24 November 1990.
