Reyshawn Terry
Reyshawn Antonio Terry ( born April 7, 1984 in Winston- Salem, North Carolina ) is an American professional basketball player. During his studies he won with the Tar Heels of UNC at Chapel Hill, the NCAA College Cup in 2005. Though he was selected in the 2007 NBA Draft, he played no play in the most highly endowed professional league NBA. As a professional, he won with Virtus Bologna, the Euro Challenge 2008 / 09 and with the Brose Baskets of the German Double 2011. Since the 2013/14 season he plays in France for Le Mans Sarthe Basket.
Career
Terry moved in 2003 from high school in his hometown to study at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in his home state. The Tar Heels basketball team of the University is one of the leading teams in the NCAA, and produces a lot of professional basketball players. While Terry's time in this team the Tar Heels every time for the national finals of the NCAA failed to qualify. In 2005 he won together with, among others, his teammates Marvin Williams, Raymond Felton, Rashad McCants and Sean May the championship, where Terry was only a reserve player in the team. In his senior year he reached in 2007 with, among others, " Sophomore " Tyler Hansbrough once the quarter-finals " Elite Eight " of this prestigious championship, which went against the Hoyas of Georgetown University lost.
In the 2007 NBA Draft he was selected by the Orlando Magic, their rights to Terry but in a player exchange to the Dallas Mavericks. In the highest European club competition ULEB Euro Cup 2010/ 11, however, it was eliminated in the first round. Then Terry played in the Basketball Super League Ukraine for Chimik from Juschne, which also failed in the first play-off round of the national championship. In the season 2012/13 Terry got a contract with the Lebanese champion champ Greenville SC, which is connected to the Collège des Frères Maristes Champ Dik el Mehdi Ville. There he plays with, among others with the Georgian Nikoloz Zkitischwili. After one season, he got a contract with the French LNB Pro A at Le Mans Sarthe Basket, where he plays among others, the former Bundesliga players DaShaun Wood and Vaughn Duggins.
