Rondissone

Rondissone ( Rondisson Piedmontese ) is a municipality with 1855 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Turin (TO ), Region Piedmont.

The neighboring municipalities are Mazzè, Cigliano, Saluggia, Chivasso, Torrazza Piemonte and Verolengo.

Geography

The place is located in the canavesischen Plain, north-east of Turin on the border with the province of Vercelli, at an altitude of 211 m above sea level. The municipality covers an area of 10.65 km ².

History

The place is first mentioned in 1164 in a document in which the Emperor Barbarossa, the area gives the Prince of Montferrat.
