Rüstorf

Rüstorf is a municipality in Upper Austria in Vöcklabruck district in Hausruckviertel with 1975 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The municipality is located in the judicial district Vöcklabruck.

Geography

Rüstorf is located at 387 m altitude in Hausruckviertel. The expansion is 5.1 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 5.6 km. The total area is 13.6 km ². 31.6 % of the area is forested, 55.1 % of the area is used for agriculture.

History

Originally in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria lying, was the place since the 12th century the Duchy of Austria. Since 1490 he is the Principality ' Austria above the Enns ' attributed.
