Sabine Baeß

Sabine Bäß, married. Marbach, ( born March 15, 1961 in Dresden) is a former German figure skater, which was launched in pair skating for the GDR.

In Olympic 1980 Bäß and Thierenbach defended their national championship title, missed in fourth, however, both at the European Championships as well as the World Championship medals. In 1983 she defended her national title in Dortmund and also their European Championship title. At the World Championships in Helsinki, however, they had to close Jelena Walowa and Oleg Vasilyev bend from the Soviet Union and be content with the silver medal. In 1984 Bäß and Thierenbach for the fifth and last time GDR Champion. At the European Championships in Budapest, she won the silver medal behind Walowa and Wassilijew.
