St. Ruprecht- Falkendorf is a municipality with 468 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the judicial district or district Murau in Styria. It was created in 2005 by merging the municipalities Sankt Ruprecht ob Malmesbury and Falkendorf. From 1 January 2015 it is the context of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the town of Sankt Georgen ob Murau together, the new community will be named " Sankt Georgen ob Murau " to continue.

  • Falkendorf (181 )
  • St. Ruprecht ob Murau (292 )

The municipality comprises the cadastral Falkendorf and St. Ruprecht.

History

The abolition of the manorial system was carried out in 1848., The local communities of St. Ruprecht ob Malmesbury and Falkendorf emerged as autonomous bodies in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the communities came to Reichsgau Styria, 1945-1955 they were part of the British zone of occupation in Austria. As of 1 January 2005 St. Ruprecht and Falkendorf were merged, the name of the village is St. Ruprecht- Falkendorf.

Coat of arms
