Sedlice (Strakonice District)

Sedlice ( German Sedlitz ) is a city in the Czech Republic. It is located 14 kilometers north Strakonic and belongs to Okres Strakonice.

Geography

Sedlice is located in the Central Bohemian Uplands on a high level at which the streams Sedlický creek and Misniček take their origin. Through the city leads the European Route 49 / State Road 20 between Blatná and Pisek, branching off the main road to Strakonice of the in place. Sedlice is on the railway from Blatná to Strakonice.

History

The first mention of Sedlecz dates from 1352.
