Siniša Mihajlovic ( born February 20, 1969 in Vukovar, SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian former football player and current coach. In his career he was best known for his many free-kicks. For example, he keeps in the Serie A record for free-kicks. To date, he is regarded as the most successful and one of the best free kick taker of all time.

Career

Siniša Mihajlovic began his career as a professional footballer at the club Vojvodina Novi Sad. 1991 Red Star Belgrade became aware of him and was able to him in the winter break of the season 1990/91 oblige. That same season, he also celebrated his biggest success in club football by winning the European Cup of Champions.

He then went abroad for Italian club AS Roma, who kept it until the end of the 1994 season with him. Then played Mihajlovic, again only for a year, as Players out on loan to Sampdoria. In 1995 he went back to Rome to be loaned to Genoa again in the same year. At the end of the season 1997/98 he finally sever its AS Roma and Sampdoria and undertook for five years at Lazio.

Mihajlovic denied 1991-2003 63 caps for the Yugoslav and Serbian- Montenegrin national football team.

From 2004 to 2006, the Serb played two seasons at Inter Milan. He became its assistant coach then in autumn 2006. He held until 2008 this office.

On 3 November 2008 Mihajlovic took over the post of head coach of the Italian first division club FC Bologna, who had previously separated by Daniele Arrigoni. On 14 April 2009 the Serb was released after a 1:4 home defeat against AC Siena, his successor at the rossoblu was Giuseppe Papadopulo.

On 8 December 2009 he was unveiled as coach of the Italian first division club Catania Calcio. There, however, he resigned after only six months.

On 26 May 2010 it was announced that Mihajlovic will train the Italian first division club ACF Florence from the 2010/11 season. On November 7, 2011 after 16 months of his dismissal; Delio Rossi has been nominated as his successor.

21 May 2012 Mihajlovic took over the post of coach of the Serbian national football team. Since autumn 2013 he coached Sampdoria in Serie A.
