Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc. ( Self- font: Sony Music or SMEJ ) (Japanese株式会社 ソニー·ミュージック エンタテインメント, Kabushiki - gaisha Soni Myūjikku Entateinmento ) is a Japanese record company. History

Sony Music Entertainment Japan was established in March 1968 as CBS / Sony Records as a joint venture between Sony Corporation and a half of the U.S. media company CBS and the other half to the music of the latter in Japan to market. Sony co-founder Akio Morita was president.
