Sverre Kjelsberg

Sverre Kjelsberg ( born October 18, 1946 in Tromsø) is a Norwegian musician.

He received Statewide recognition as a singer and electric bassist of Norwegian rock band The Pussycats from 1963 to 1967, with whom he recorded ten singles and two albums. He began in 1970 to study music and was then to experience the theater as a composer and actor. As a solo artist and political activist was released in 1979 his debut album. Together with Mattis Hætta he won the Melodi Grand Prix 1980 and was therefore entitled to compete for Norway when Eurovisie Song Festival 1980. With the title Sámiid Ædnan the duo debuted at number 16 in the Norwegian charts of the title took four weeks number one.
