Swedish general election, 1921

In September 1921, an election to the Second Chamber of the Swedish Parliament took place. It was the first election in Sweden, in which the women had the right to vote.

Before the elections, the Socialist Left Party of Sweden was embarked on the ideological line of the Russia -dominated Communist International and had renamed the Swedish Communist Party. A minority who do not wanted to endorse, then in 1921 formed a new party under the old name Social Democratic Left Party of Sweden. The new party came to apply to this election and united in 1923 with the Social Democrats.

The Farmers 'Union united in 1921 with the Reich Association of Farmers under the name Farmers' Federation.
