Thung Yang Daeng District
Thung Yang Daeng ( Thai: ทุ่งยางแดง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Pattani Pattani Province The lies in the southeast of South Thailand in the Gulf of Thailand.
Geography
Adjacent counties and regions are ( from south clockwise): Amphoe Raman Yala Province and Amphoe Yarang, Mayo, Sai Buri and Kapho in the province of Pattani.
Parts of the forest park Prasat Nang Phomhom ( Thai: วนอุทยาน ปราสาท นาง ผม หอม, Prasat Nang Phomhom Forest Park ) located in the northeast of the county. A small waterfall in the park is best to visit in November and December.
History
Thung Yang Daeng was born on May 16, 1977 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by four Tambon were separated from Amphoe Mayo. On July 4, 1994 Thung Yang Daeng got the full Amphoe status.
Management
Amphoe Thung Yang Daeng is divided into four subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 22 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.
There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
