Úlehle

Úlehle until 1924 Oulehle ( German Aulechle, formerly Aulehle ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers south-west of Strakonice in South Bohemia and belongs to Okres Strakonice.

Geography

Úlehle is on the left side of the creek Nihošovický creek in the foothills of the Bohemian Forest. To the north rise the Hurka ( 655 m) and the KBIL ( 665 m ) in the north- east, the Ostra ( 595 m) and Hradiště (604 m ) east of the Peklo ( 555 m ) in the west of Prosik ( 529 m) and northwest the Škavlík (606 m). To the southeast lies the pond Jezero.

Neighboring towns are Švejcarova Lhota, Smiradice and Sousedovice in the north, Libětice, Pasečná and Přední Zborovice in the northeast, Strunkovice nad Volyňkou, Slukův Mlýn and Němětice in the east, Valcha Nihošovice and Poustka the southeast, Lesní Chalupy, Zbudov, Hanusovka, Počátky and Doubravice u Volyně in the south, and Radkovice Němčice the southwest, Jetišov in the west and Zahorčice and Kraselov in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Úlehle place in the year 1318. Strakonitz The village belonged to the rule, the owner was Grandpriorat the chivalric Order of Malta since the 14th century.

In 1840 Aulehle consisted of 21 houses with 117 inhabitants. Vicarage was Čestitz. Owner was the Grand Prior of Malta, Karl Graf Morzino. By the middle of the 19th century remained Aulehle always rule Strakonitz submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Oulehle / Aulehle with the districts Radkovice and Švejcarova Lhota 1850 a municipality in the district team Strakonice and the jurisdiction Volyně. Since 1924 Úlehle is used as the official place name. In 1956, the village was electrified. The following year was the collectivization of agriculture, the farmers of Úlehle and Radkovice formed a common JZD. The fire station was built in September 1970, is today the premises of the municipal office and the library housed. Úlehle with its hamlets was incorporated into Nihošovice on 1 January 1974. In 1975, a fire water pond was created. After a referendum Úlehle, Radkovice and Švejcarova Lhota dissolved November 24 again in 1990 by Nihošovice off and formed their own community. in 2006 the village was connected to the gas supply. The following year, the construction of the transmission and observation tower began on the KBIL, which was opened in 2008.
