Únice

Únice until 1924 Ounice ( German Aunitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers north-west of Strakonice in South Bohemia and belongs to Okres Strakonice.

Geography

Únice is on the left above the valley of Kolčavka ( Rissowsky ) in the hill country of Blatenská pahorkatina. To the north rises the Lelovka ( 488 m ) in the north- east, the Lavičná (500 m ) southeast of the Brezový vrch ( 571 m), in the south of Tisovník ( 589 m ) southwest of the Haj ( 525 m) and in the northeast the Lipová ( 488 m). In the northeast of Novokrtský are the ponds Velké Jezero and Malé Lake, southwest fishpond and in the west of the Škarohled and Barborka.

Neighboring towns are Třebohostice in the north, and Chrášťovice Leskovice in the northeast, and Klínovice Podolí in the east, and Černíkov Hubenov to the southeast, and habes Dražejov in the south, Hradec, Krty and Mnichov in the southwest, and Borek, Střelskohoštická Lhota and Saddleback in the West

History

The first written mention of Únice took place in 1308, as Bavors III. of Strakonitz gave the village the Order of St. John in the castle Strakonitz. In the Berni rula from 1652 Vollhüfner four and four Chalupner are reported for Únice.

In 1840 Aunitz consisted of 10 houses and 65 inhabitants. The village belonged to a location away from the creek Rissowsky Rustic Mill. Vicarage was Radomischel. Until the mid-19th century Aunitz remained subservient always Strakonitz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Ounice / Aunitz formed in 1850 with the district Hubenov / Hubenow a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district of the Strakonice. Today's local name Únice was introduced in 1924. The volunteer fire department was founded in 1952; a four years previously undertaken founding initiative was again, as the initiators were employed after the takeover by the Communists first with the political events in the country. In 1964, the municipality was incorporated into Třebohostice. After a referendum Únice and Hubenov dissolved on November 24 again in 1990 by Třebohostice off and formed their own community.
