There are the following districts: Bayersried, Mindelzell, top tube, Premach, Ursberg.

History

On November 1, 1905, the formerly independent communities Bayersried and Ursberg were dissolved and merged into a new community Bayersried - Ursberg. This was officially renamed in Ursberg on 3 October 1978.

Incorporations

On July 1, 1972 Mindelzell was incorporated. On January 1, 1976, added Premach. Top tube followed on 1 May 1978.

Personalities

  • Famous inhabitants of the hamlet Ursberger top tube is the long-standing federal Finance Minister and CSU chairman Theo Waigel. He was also born there in 1939.
  • Joseph Bernhart (1881-1969) was a Catholic theologian, religious scholars and writers. He is considered one of the great thinkers of Catholic provenance in the 20th century.
  • Konrad von Lichtenau (of Ursberg ), Premonstratensian canon of Constance, from 1226 abbot of the Premonstratensian Monastery Ursberg; † 10 Dez. 1240. He gave his home parish Mindelzell the cross- particles, which is to this day revered by the " Brotherhood of the Holy Cross ".
