Vehicle registration plates of Jordan

The current Jordanian license plates were introduced in 2007 and are based on the European standard. They usually show black letters on a white background. On the left side there is a colored box where the country name appears in Arabic (Arabic: الأردن al - Urdunn ) and English ( JORDAN ). The color of the field specifies the detailed use of the vehicle. Signs for private vehicles have a white, vehicles of public transport a green field. Red indicates state vehicles, diplomatic license plates have a yellow field and in addition the letters CD. Tags are also associated with yellow in combination with the letters TRL for english trailer. The actual combination consists solely of digits that are divided separately into two groups of a point. Older characters indicate both the country's name as well as the combination of digits in Latin and Arabic script.
