Vilyuysk

Wiljuisk (Russian Вилюйск, Yakut Бүлүү / Bülüü ) is a city in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia ) (Russia) with 10,234 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).

Geography

The city is located in the Mitteljakutischen valley, about 535 km northwest of the capital Yakutsk Republic, the river Wiljui, a left tributary of the Lena.

The city is the administrative center of the Wiljuisk Rajons same ( Ulus ).

Wiljuisk has an airport and a pier at Wiljui.

History
