Vito d'Asio

The municipality of Vito d' Asio ( Friulian VIT ) is located in northeast Italy in the Friuli- Venezia Giulia in the province of Pordenone.

Geography

Vito d' Asio is located north of Pordenone and has 819 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012). The municipality is located 500 m s.l.m. and includes a municipal territory of 53 km ².

The territory of the municipality lies at the end of the Alps at the beginning of the Venetian Plain.

The municipality covers not only the main town Frisanco 13 other villages and hamlets: Anduins, Battaias, Casiacco, Cedolins, Celante di Vito, Fruins, Marinis, Paveon, Pert, Pielungo, Reonis, San Francesco, Selets and Valentini. The neighboring municipalities are Castelnovo del Friuli, Cavazzo Carnico (UD), Clauzetto, Forgaria nel Friuli (UD), Pinzano al Tagliamento, Preone (UD), Tramonti di Sotto, Trasaghis (UD) and Verzegnis (UD).
