Wien-Umgebung District

The district Vienna environment is created in 1954 by the separation of Vienna.

The district Vienna environment consists of several non-contiguous areas, ie each set around Schwechat in the southeast and Gera village in the northeast, and ( north- ) west of Vienna, the area Klosterneuburg -Purkersdorf. Although the municipality of Bach wall borders the municipality of Klosterneuburg ( in NO), a road does not lead, however, between these two communities, so that the district is often misdiagnosed as four non-contiguous parts shown. For this reason, the District Commission in Klosterneuburg has a branch office in Purkersdorf. Other branches are in Schwechat and in Gera village. But even in Herrengasse is a branch.

1956 Press tree was connected by the Administrative District St. Pölten to Vienna district environment.
