Windham County (Connecticut)

Windham County is a county located in the state of Connecticut with a population of 109 091. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Windham.

Geography

The county has an area of 1351 square kilometers, of which 23 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Worcester County ( Massachusetts), Providence County and Kent County (Rhode Iceland ), and New London County and Tolland County.

History

Windham County was formed in 1726 from parts of Hartford County and New London County.
