Geography
Wolferstadt is on the edge of the Hahnenkamm in the planning region of Augsburg. There are the districts Hagau, Wolferstadt and Zwerchstraß.
Community members are branding iron mill, Erlach yards, Hagau, Jackermühle, Rothenberg, Spitzmühle, Steinbühl, Forest Stetten, Wolferstadt and Zwerchstraß.
History
The place once belonging to the Frankish Sualafeldgau, was part of the county Graisbach, then fell to the Duchy of Bavaria -Landshut, came in 1505 with the Principality of Pfalz- Neuburg and 1808 finally the Kingdom of Bavaria. It formed a closed Hofmark under the rule of the cathedral chapter of Eichstätt, 1803, with the secularization came to an end. During the political reorganization of Bavaria under Count Montgelas emerged with the congregation of 1818, the current community.
Incorporations
On January 1, 1974, until then independent municipality Zwerchstraß was incorporated. Hagau was added on 1 May 1978.

In 1998 there were, according to official statistics in the manufacturing sector and 18 in the area of trade and transport any social insurance contributions at the workplace.
