Yamaha RZ350
The Yamaha RD 350 LC is like the Yamaha RD 250 LC, a two-stroke motorcycle Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha and published in 1980.
The optimized performance motorcycle has been significantly modernized over its air-cooled predecessor models, Yamaha RD 250 and RD 350. It is driven by a water-cooled two-stroke engine with two cylinders and separate lubrication. The rear swingarm was performed by a central spring strut model cantilever.
Due to the typical two-stroke power delivery of a high-revving engine sat in the RD 350 LC only from a speed of about 6000 rpm abruptly benefit, which many inexperienced drivers could not cope and often caused accidents. The manufacturer reduced in model year 1981 for the German market, the maximum power of 34 kW (46 PS) in favor of a flatter power curve. Strengths and weaknesses
The reviews of the trade press and experience of the owners showed postmarketing some weaknesses: The swing arm bearing of the rear wheel was stored in plastic sleeves that could be worn even after a few thousand kilometers and made for a swinging of the rear suspension. The aftermarket put thereupon bronze bush bearing or a tag on needle bearings available. Not carefully heat driven engines could require ( boring cylinders to an excess ) to around 20,000 kilometers already an engine overhaul. The consumption could be 100 kilometers in the Model 350 with constantly high-revving driving style more than 10 liters of premium. The drilling of oil supply in the two carburetor should be cleaned regularly. Resorted to this hole is also a plug-in driver.
