2001–02 Eliteserien season
The 2001/02 season was the 63rd season of the Elite series, the highest Norwegian ice hockey league. Champion for the third time in club history Frisk Asker.
Mode
In the main round each of the ten teams played a total of 42 games. The top six teams qualified for the playoffs, where the Master was played, with the top two finishers of the main draws were directly qualified for the play-off semi-finals. The four last placed athlete had to compete against the top two teams of the second division in the relegation. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
