2005–06 Turkish Cup
Fortis Türkiye Kupası 2005/ 06 was the 44th edition of the Turkish Cup competition. The competition began on 31 August 2005 with the first round and ended May 3, 2006 with the finals. In the final, Fenerbahce and Besiktas Istanbul clashed. For both teams, it was the eleventh participation in the finals. This situation already existed in the 1988/89 season.
Venue was the Ataturk Stadium in Izmir. The winner was Beşiktaş Istanbul and won this title for the sixth time.

1 Main Round
The first main round was held on 31 August 2005. In this round entered the 36 clubs who have played below the 1st League during the 2004/ 05 season and had qualified for the Cup.
2 Main Round
The second main round was held from September 20 to September 22, 2005. Among the 18 winners from the first main round took place here the first division of the 5th to the 18th of the season 2004/ 05 part.
Group stage
With the best four from the Bundesliga from the 2004/05 season ( Fenerbahce, Trabzonspor, Galatasaray and Beşiktaş Istanbul) the last teams were added. They were all set as group head. The group stage was held to 23 January 2006 of 25 October 2005.
