2007 Copa Sudamericana

The Copa Sudamericana 2007 was the sixth playout of the second most important South American football competition for club teams, which has acted under the name " Copa Nissan Sudamericana " due to the sponsorship of the car manufacturer Nissan. Mode

Compared to last year, there were only minor changes to the Format. In the regional elimination rounds (except Argentina and Brazil) is a country's clubs did not play more against each other but against the club in the other country. For the last sixteen to CD Los Millonarios from Colombia qualified.

Excretion Paraguay / Uruguay

First round

The first legs were held on 15 and 21 August 2007 on 1 and 7, the return games.

2nd round

The first leg took place on August 30, instead of the return match on 13 September 2007.

For the second round, the Defensor Sporting Club of Uruguay qualified.

Second round

Participants were the ten winners of the regional competitions and the following six teams that have qualified automatically by a bye: Argentina CA Boca Juniors Argentina CA River Plate Mexico Pachuca ( defending champion ) Mexico Club América Mexico Guadalajara United States D.C. United

The first legs took place from September 19 to 26, the return matches from September 26 to October 4, 2007.
