2011 Marburg Open

The Marburg Open 2011 was a tennis tournament, which until June 27, 2011 was held from 21 in Marburg. It was the second edition of the tournament and part of the ATP Challenger Tour 2011 and the HEAD German Masters Series. It was played outdoors on red sand.

In individual could the unseeded Bjorn Phau prevail in the final in three sets against Jan Hajek. Also in double Phau was successful at the side of his partner Martin Emmrich. The pairing set at position 4 won the final against the unseeded Argentine Federico del Bonis and Horacio Zeballos.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. There were three injury-related withdrawals before the tournament. Yevgeny Korolyov said his participation from the individual competition, as the reason he gave to physical weakness. For him Simon Stadler enlisted as a lucky loser into the main draw. In the doubles competition could Ivo Minář who wanted to play on the side of individual finalists Hájek, due to a hip injury, and Adrian Ungur whose partner Albert Ramos was due to an elbow injury not participate. For them, the pairings Siarhei Betau / Andriej Kapas and Radu Albot / Artyom Smirnov played as alternatives.
