2011 Blu-express.com Tennis Cup
The Blu- express.com Tennis Cup 2011 was a tennis tournament, which was held in Todi from 12 to 18 September 2011. It was part of the ATP Challenger Tour in 2011 and was held outdoors on sand.
The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 15 pairs because there were not enough applications for the planned competition with 16 pairings. Thus, the top-seeded Martin Fischer and Alessandro Motti got a bye for the quarterfinals. In the individual competition, there was a qualifying round with 16 players, by the four players could qualify for the main draw itself. The prize money of the event was a total of 30,000 €.
Winner of the individual competition was the top-seeded Argentine Carlos Berlocq, who so successfully defended his title from last year and the first player for the second time won the individual competition of Todi. He defeated in the final of the set of two Italian Filippo Volandri beat position. It was Berlocqs eleventh single title on Challenger level of his career and the second of the season.
The doubles competition won the set at position three local heroes Stefano Ianni and Luca Vanni that the top-seeded Martin Fischer and Alessandro Motti defeated in the final. It was Iannis second career title with a doubles competition of the Challenger category, both of which he gained in the 2011 season. For Vanni it was the first Challengertitel his career at all.
