2011 Oberstaufen Cup

Oberstaufen Cup 2011 was the 20th edition of the tennis clay court tournament in Oberstaufen. It was part of the ATP Challenger Tour 2011, as well as the HEAD German Masters Series 2011 and was discharged from the 2nd to the 10th of July 2011 at the outside.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. For the individual tournament, a qualifying round with 18 participants took place in the run-up in which four players were able to qualify for the main draw. The prize money of the event was as in the previous year total of 30,000 €.

In the individual tournament set to position one Austrian Andreas Haider- Maurer had to cancel his participation due to a knee injury. For him moved André Ghem from Brazil as a lucky loser into the main draw. It won the set at position three German Daniel Brands, who defeated his set at position six countryman Andreas Beck in straight sets in the final. This was the fourth Challenger singles title of his career and the first this season. Last year's winner Martin Fischer of Austria lost its position of five set in the quarterfinals to eventual tournament winner.

However, Fischer was able to celebrate this year's title in the doubles competition together with his partner Philipp Oswald, making fishing for was to date the most successful player of the tournament. They won the final against top-seeded Poland Tomasz Bednarek and the Mateusz Kowalczyk in two sets. This was the tenth success in a doubles tournament this category of his career, he could all celebrate with Oswald for fishermen. For Oswald, it was the twelfth career title. It was her third tournament win of the season. Last year's winners Frank Moser of Germany and Lukáš Rosol from the Czech Republic both did not occur to defend their title.
