2013 Singapore Grand Prix
The Singapore Grand Prix 2013 ( officially 2013 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix) took place on 22 September at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore and was the 13th race of the Formula 1 season 2013.

Background
After the Italian Grand Prix, Sebastian Vettel led the drivers' championship with 53 points ahead of Fernando Alonso and 81 points ahead of Lewis Hamilton. Red Bull -Renault resulted in the constructors' championship with 104 points ahead of Ferrari and 107 points ahead of Mercedes.
Compared to last year there was a change to the route. The chicane in the Singapore Sling was replaced by a left-hander.
At the Grand Prix of Singapore presented Pirelli riders the tire compounds P Zero medium ( white) and P Zero Supersoft (red ) and for wet Cinturato Intermediates (green) and Cinturato full- Wets (blue ) are available.
With Alonso, Vettel (each twice) and Hamilton ( once) were three former winners of this Grand Prix.
As race officials acted Paul Gutjahr (SUI ), Nish Shetty (SIN), Vincenzo Spano ( VEN) and Derek Warwick ( GBR).
Training
In the first free practice Hamilton set the fastest lap ahead of Mark Webber and Vettel. In the second free practice Vettel took the lead ahead of Webber and Nico Rosberg. Vettel had a second ahead of all the drivers except his Red Bull team-mate Webber. The Red Bull were not only fast on a round, but were significantly faster than the competition on the long runs. In the third free practice Vettel stayed ahead. Romain Grosjean was second ahead of Rosberg.
Qualifying
In the first phase of qualifying Hamilton was fastest. The Marussia and Caterham pilots and Pastor Maldonado, Paul di Resta dropped out. In the second section Vettel set the fastest lap time. Valtteri Bottas, Adrian Sutil, Sergio Pérez, Kimi Raikkonen, Jean- Éric Vergne and Nico Hulkenberg stepped down from. Esteban Gutiérrez was the first time to beat his teammate and move into the top 10. In the final segment Vettel held the lead and secured the pole position ahead of Rosberg and Grosjean.
Race
Vettel achieved a start- to-finish victory ahead of Alonso and Räikkönen. Vettel also set the fastest lap of the race and achieved a Grand Slam. In the cool-down lap Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso took his fellow drivers Mark Webber on the side box sitting with back to the pits. For this negligence Webber was booked by the FIA for the third time in the season and demoted for the next race by ten grid positions.
