Acadie–Bathurst Titan

The Titan d' Acadie - Bathurst (English Acadie - Bathurst Titan) are a professional Canadian Junior Hockey team from Bathurst, New Brunswick, which plays in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Play their home games in the franchise in the KC Irving Regional Centre.

History

In 1969, the franchise was founded as National de Rosemont in Rosemont, Quebec, in 1971 the team moved to Laval to where it played until 1998 under different names. Since 1998, the team is based in Bathurst, and plays under the present name, the " Acadie " in the title for the Acadian population of the city.

Overall, the team five times the Coupe du Président, the QMJHL championship won in 1999, however, for the only time as a Titan d' Acadie - Bathurst. In the following Memorial Cup, the championship of the umbrella organization CHL, which is played annually between the masters of Canada's three top junior leagues WHL, OHL and QMJHL, it failed, however, without a win in the first round.

In the season 1999/ 00 the titanium presented the first hockey player on the QMJHL history. Charline Labonté, a seventeen -year-old goalkeeper from Quebec stood one season in the squad of the team and completed a game.
