Albersdorf-Prebuch

Geography

Albers -Prebuch is located in the district of Weiz in the Austrian province of Styria.

Community structure

The municipality comprises the following five villages (in brackets population as of 31 October 2011), which are also Katastralgemeinden:

  • Albers Village ( 1115 )
  • Kalch (156 )
  • Postel trench ( 154)
  • Prebuch ( 429 )
  • Wollsdorferegg (136)

History

Albers village was first mentioned in 1340. The pin Göß was a major landowner in the municipality. In 1968, Albers -Prebuch arose from the communities Albers village and Prebuch.

Policy

Mayor since the unexpected death of Rupert Gutmann on 24 August 2009, Robert lubricating villages. On 13 October 2009, the swearing-in of the new mayor was made by District Governor Dr. Rüdiger dew. Lubricating villages was elected to the council meeting on 9th October 2009 unanimously elected mayor.

The council is made up after the 2010 elections were as follows: 10 ÖVP, SPÖ 4, 1 Green

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was granted in 1990 in the 650 - year celebration Albers village: " The red and black divided by a golden beam, growing out of the leafy top three golden apples, down three golden grape leaves. "

Economy and infrastructure

In the area Prebuch, Kalch and Wollsdorferegg earlier mainly viticulture was operated, which was largely abandoned over the past century. At present, mainly fruit growing is operated. Due to its proximity to the towns railway village, Weiz and Graz are now many residents commuting.
