Oberrettenbach is a municipality with 475 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in eastern Styria. From 1 January 2015 it is united framework of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the community Gersdorf at the Feistritzwerke, the new community will continue to use the name " Gersdorf at the Feistritzwerke ".

Geography

Oberrettenbach is located in the district of Weiz in the Austrian province of Styria.

Community structure

The municipality comprises the two villages (in brackets population as of 31 October 2011):

  • Oberrettenbach (270 )
  • Rothgmos (190 )

The municipality comprises the cadastral Oberrettenbach.

Policy

Mayor Gottfried Reisinger (ÖVP ). The Treasurer is Charles Wilfinger ( SPÖ). The council is made up after the elections of 2010 are as follows: 7 ÖVP, SPÖ 2. Oberrettenbach was always politically dominated by the ÖVP. But in the last elections ( local elections, state elections, national elections ), there was a turnaround. The SPÖ could always achieve significant gains in the last election. Thus, the third mandate at the municipal election was just missed. While the ÖVP had to back off at the last election.
